Habitat: Meadows, marshes, and grassy fields; avoids woodlands.

Habits: This species is rare in Oklahoma. Least Weasels primarily eat small rodents. Pelage is white in winter in the north, but remains brown in the south. Hair fluoresces purple under ultra-violet light. Females may have more than one litter per year.
