Synaptomys cooperi (Southern Bog Lemming)
Habitat: Wet meadows, bogs, and marshes.

Habits: The Southern Bog Lemming is not common in Oklahoma. The diet consists of grasses and sedges. Runways are constructed through dense grass. Bright green droppings are an indication of the presence of this species. This species is active in the afternoon and at night.
