Habitat: Dry, rocky, Piñon-juniper canyons, rocky ravines, and on mesas and talus slopes.

Habits: Colorado Chipmunks burrow beneath rocks, roots and shrubs, where they store food and raise young. They eat seeds, berries, nuts and some plants.
