Habitat: Woodlands, forests, and shortgrass prairies.

Habits: Red Foxes may construct more than one den, usually near water, and each with more than one entrance. They hunt small rodents and birds, mostly at night, and are very accomplished swimmers. The young, or kits, are born in litters or four or five.
