Division of Mammalogy: Argentine Mammals Database

These data were collected as part of National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Geographic Society (NG) funded survey and inventory projects during 1990-1995, 1998-2000, and 2001-2007. Specimens have been deposited in the following museum collections: Colección de Mamíferos, Instituto Argentino de Investigaciones de las Zonas Aridas (IADIZA), Mendoza, Argentina; Colección Miguel Lillo (CML), Miguel Lillo, Tucumán, Argentina; Collection of Mammals, Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History (OMNH), University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma, USA; Colección de Mamíferos, Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales "Bernardino Rivadavia" (MACN), Buenos Aires, Argentina; Collection of Mammals, British Museum of Natural History (BM), London, England.

The database will be updated as identifications are verified and disposition of specimens finalized. All identifications should be considered tentative; please contact one of the curators for further information.

The SNOMNH does not charge for information from our collections, with the stipulation that the SNOMNH is clearly identified as the source of the data in publications. We also request copies or reprints of publications that are based on our collections.

The Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma holds all right, title and interest in specimens, objects, and archival materials in the SNOMNH collections. If any of these data or materials are used in an analysis or report, the original provenance must be acknowledged and the SNOMNH notified. The Museum should be acknowledged as "Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, University of Oklahoma."
