This 52-minute documentary covers the history of the museum from the days of Oklahoma Territory through the dedication of a new state-of-the-art facility in 2000. It ends in 2002 and is the story of the people of Norman and of Oklahoma rallying around and building a new museum in the face of great opposition; a story of hope for all museums.
The film shows the natural landscapes of Oklahoma and traces the museum's history from 1899. It was co-produced by former Museum Director Michael A. Mares and Mark and Roberta Richman, sister and brother-in-law of famed actor Al Pacino.
