Positions:

 

Collection Manager - Molly Shi Boren Collection of Ethnology

Full Time,  $28,000, Requisition #13549

Responsible for the daily operations and management of the Sam Noble Museum's Molly Shi Boren Collection of Ethnology, and collections of Classical Archaeology, and Native American and Natural History Fine Art under the supervision of the Curator. Responsible for following acceptable practices and standards in the care and management of ethnographic collections and their documentation. Duties and responsibilities include care of the collections, data and records management, documentation of outgoing and incoming loans, processing and preparation of new and existing collections, assisting visitors, assisting with the supervision of assistants, interns, and volunteers, assisting with exhibitions through collection-related activities, and participation in public service programs and educational programs as appropriate.  

 

 

Student Employee- Visitor Services

Part Time, $7.50/hr; Requisition #14007

 

Performs a variety of tasks in the area of museum visitor services.

Birthday Party Host: duties include providing information about the program, supervising Discovery Room activities, providing gallery tours, set up and supervising the serving of beverages, remaining on site during birthday program, ensuring that museum policies and procedures are followed.

Customer Service Representative: duties include ticketing, collecting admission fees, dispensing information about the Museum, University, Norman and the state to visitors, answering the Museum's main phone line, preparing reports.

Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
