Student Education Asst. - Discovery Room

Part-Time $7.50/hr. Req #20082, 20094, 20095.

Multiple positions available.

Will work with Education staff and volunteers to facilitate the Discovery Room for general visitors and school groups, including some programming.
Will assist with set-up and clean up of classrooms.
Will maintain, repair, and develop educational activities and exhibits.
Will care for a few small live animals.
Will greet school groups.
Other duties as assigned.

Student Asst. - Museum Store

Part-Time $7.50/hr. Req #20083.

Will work in the Museum Store. Duties include acting as cashier, stocking merchandise, data entry, cleaning, dusting, & other duties as assigned.

Student Education Assistant

Part-Time $8.00/hr. Req #20199.

This is a one-semester position for Fall 2014.

The Student Education Assistant will assist in preparing and facilitating public educational programs at the Sam Noble Museum and gain experience in informal science education instruction, development and museum education.

Primary duties include:
-Assist facilitating programs for youth groups
-Assist with the implementation of workshops and activities for children, such as Spike's Club
-Complete craft preparation and departmental office duties.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Student Programmer Analyst

Part-Time $18.00-$20.00/hr. Req #20254.

The Sam Noble Museum IT dept. is offering a one-year position, not to exceed 20 total hours per week, for assistance in the maintenance of the museum's databases, and the creation of new reports and web pages based on those databases. The person in this position will use their SQL skills to troubleshoot and maintain the museum's existing reports and aid in the creation of new reports, databases, stored procedures and functions. They will also aid in the creation of new dashboards for the Museum.

Student Assistant - Visitor Services

Part-Time $7.50/hr. Req #20253.

Performs a variety of tasks in the area of museum visitor services.

Birthday Party Host: duties include providing information about the program, supervising Discovery Room activities, providing gallery tours, all set up and clean up of party areas, refreshment service, payment processing, remaining on site during birthday program to ensure that museum policies and procedures are followed.

Customer Service Representative: duties include ticketing, collecting admission fees, dispensing information about the Museum & University to visitors, answering the Museum's main phone line, maintaining lobby displays, cash handling, opening and closing registers, and preparing daily financial reports.

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
