Information for Presenters

Oral presentations:

In order to have a productive and positive experience at the sessions as well as speedy transitions, we recommend that you plan on your talk being approximately 13 min, including time for questions and answers. The 15-minute time slots do not apply to speakers in the Special Sessions. All oral presentations should be prepared using Microsoft Office PowerPoint or equivalent. Please be aware of the issues of file size and incompatibility that may result in the rendering of images and font mismatches thus creating a very different presentation.

You are strongly encouraged to submit your finished presentation in advance. Send it as an email attachment to Liz Leith before Thursday 1 May 2008. Save your presentation using the name and initials of the presenting author (e.g., CampbellA), and use the email subject line of "SmithJ presentation NSCA-SPNHC."  Alternatively, you may turn in your presentation on a CD/DVD or memory stick (USB) to the registration desk between 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Tuesday 13 May 2008 or between 3:00pm - 5:00 pm on Wednesday 14 May 2008. Please, include your name and contact information at the meeting (e.g. hotel name and room number). If there's a problem, every effort will be made to contact you promptly. In addition to an LCD projector and computer, each speaker will have access to a microphone/speaker. A Speaker Ready Room also will be available to presenters for presentation preview.

Poster presentations:

Posters will be displayed for both days of the conference—Thursday 15 May and Friday 16 May. An “Author in Attendance” period is scheduled for 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Thursday 15 May; poster presenters should plan to be at their poster during this assigned session. Posters should be self-explanatory.

Posters should be no larger than 36" H X 48" W (91 X 122 cm) and have a horizontal orientation. Each poster will be mounted to a foam board with supplied pushpins or velcro fasteners and displayed on an easel. If your poster is larger than these dimensions, it cannot be mounted.
