Discovery Room Hours

Monday through Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 1 to 5 p.m.

*Please note that during the school year, we have school groups that reserve the Discovery Room for programs.  At these times, the Discovery Room is closed to museum visitors.

 

Fall 2012 Discovery Room Programs

Discovery Time

Saturdays, 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Sundays, 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Join us in the Discovery Room for programs geared for preschool and  elementary age children. Programs are interactive with a hands-on activity and may include stories, crafts and touchable specimens.

It’s Feeding Time!

Saturdays, 11:30 a.m. to noon

Observe local reptiles, amphibians and fish during their feeding time and learn more about these Oklahoma animals.

Family Literacy Involvement Program (FLIP)

FLIP is a multi-lingual, interactive learning program designed for early learners ages 0-8. Kits include books, a reading guide for parents, and hands-on activities.

FLIP is a collaboration between the Sam Noble Museum and the Pioneer Library System. FLIP Kits can be checked out from both the Sam Noble Museum and the Norman Public Library.

Scavenger Hunt, Chinasaurs

 

Available every day at the Front Desk, beginning June 2, 2012. Explore our new temporary exhibit, Chinasaurs. Use this exciting scavenger hunt to learn more about dinosaurs in China!
