Toddler Time
Mondays, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
1st and 3rd Saturdays, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Join us for a fun and educational program with your toddler! Toddler Time is a Discovery Room program for children ages 18 months to 3 years, with an adult, to explore, investigate and discover together. Toddler Time promotes physical, social and cognitive development through natural history themes. One caregiver for every two children is requested.
Discovery Saturdays and Sundays
Join us at 2:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays in the Discovery Room for programs geared for preschool and elementary–age children. Programs are interactive with a hands-on activity and may include stories, crafts and touchable specimens. A special focus will be illustration of the natural world, past and present, with highlights from our museum exhibits.
Exploring Our Wild Backyard
Sundays, 1:30 p.m. Sept. 20 – Oct. 11
Take a nature walk with your little explorer and make a picture journal of your discoveries. This program is designed for children ages 2 – 6 years old with an adult and begins inside the museum and extends outside on the museum grounds.
It’s Feeding Time!
Saturdays, 1 p.m.
Observe some local reptiles, amphibians and fish during their feeding time and learn more about these Oklahoma animals.
Scavenger Hunt: Picturing Oklahoma
Sundays, 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Choose a gallery and go on an artistic adventure to learn more about life in ancient or present-day Oklahoma. Pick up a scavenger hunt at the front desk and bring your completed answer sheet back to the Discovery Room for a prize. Scavenger hunts are intended for elementary age children.
