Family Night Out

Enjoy a fun night out with the family at the museum. Don’t worry about dinner and entertainment- it’s all here!  We’ll introduce a topic (see options below), enjoy a kid-friendly dinner, and complete a project to take home. These programs are a part of the museum's new "Becoming an Eco-Family" series, where families can learn more about Oklahoma's diverse natural areas and find new ways to enjoy them together. Cost: $10 per person members, $12 per person nonmembers (ages 4 and under are free)

Make Your Own Field Guide
Friday, March 28, 6 – 8:30 p.m.

Is that a purple-spotted narble flapper? You don’t have to be an expert to name a bird or a flower! Bring the whole family to this fun workshop where you’ll learn to be the expert. We’ll take a nature walk around the museum to observe, collect and record our finds, then head indoors for dinner. Each family will use their nature finds to create a “family field guide,” a kind of book that your family can use to identify what you find in your yard, the local park, or that bird you saw on vacation at a national park.

Nature Game Night
Friday, April 11, 6 – 8:30 p.m.

Come play with us! Bring the whole family for an evening of fun. We’ll start outside with some fun outdoor games that even parents can play. After dinner, we’ll work inside and each family will design and make a family game to take home and play outside! Where will you take your game? To the backyard? The park? The beach? The mountains?
