Teacher Appreciation Day! Oct. 16

On Friday, Oct. 16, the museum thanks teachers across the state with Teacher Appreciation Day, featuring free admission for teachers and their families and giveaways for teachers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Teacher Appreciation Day will include tours of museum classrooms and demonstrations of object-based learning activities such as those used in museum educational programs. Museum educators will be on hand to talk with teachers about museum programs, answer questions and provide information about resources available to teachers, including classroom loan kits, pre-visit materials and professional development workshop opportunities for educators. There will be door prizes and giveaways throughout the day for teachers as well.

Opportunities for Middle and High School Students:

Hey teachers!

Do you know a middle or high school student who excels in science? Check out the museum's summer field programs, funded by the Whitten-Newman Foundation.
